Pure Imagination, A full meal as candy.

As you might imagine, it's hard to want to be a candy maker without being inspired by Willy Wonka. Roald Dahl's book is a wonder about how to look at flavors and sweets. At Lofty Pursuits we tend to use Wonka as an verb not a noun. We use it like: "We're going to Wonka the heck out of this candy."

Wired magazine asked me if I could be inspired by Willy Wonka in time for the new film that will come out on December 15th 2023. It was easy. I always loved the scene from the Gene Wilder version from the 70's where Violet had a meal in bubblegum and the pie went wrong.

I don't make bubble gum, but I do make some of the coolest hard candies. This candy takes you through a full meal.

• Candied Ham Yes ham, weirdly a flavor we've perfected that we are known for. Candy is in it's name after all.
• Sweet Corn. Once again sweet is in this name. Complete with butter salt and pepper.
• Apple Cider It slowly bubbles in your mouth as it dissolves for a little candy makers magic.
• Blueberry Pie.* Violet's favorite.

A meal in candy. Vegan and tasty. Like everything else that we sell, this is perfect and sometimes confusing.
