- How fast will my order come?
It depends on the time of year and the weather. When it is hot outside (We are in Florida so this happens occasionally) we try and ship only on Mondays and Tuesdays to make sure that your candy does not sit in a shipping warehouse over the weekend. We ship more often during cool weather.
Orders within the USA are shipped either first class mail or Priority and will arrive 1 to 3 days after we ship to most locations. We try and keep minimum stock on hand to ensure your candy is as tasty as possible. Occasionally orders out-strip supply of a specific flavor. When this happens we have to make your candy fresh, and it may take an extra week to ship. If it is ready late on a Tuesday, and the weather is hot, it make take until the next Monday before it gets in the postal system. This means it may take over two weeks to ship. We do this to try and insure that your candy comes to you in the best condition possible. We are all used to instant shipping in the time of Amazon. As much as we envy Amazons shipping speed, and we'd love to be that fast, we make hand made candy. The very nature of the hand work sometimes means it takes a little while for us to ship. I hope you find the candy is worth the wait.
- How do I order custom candy?
Just email us through the contact us form on this web site. Please include your phone number if you are in the USA, and describe what you want us to make for you, and we will shoot you back a quote as fast as we can. Our minimum orders for custom candy is 100oz per design/flavor. Most flavors have no connection wit color. In our minimum batch size we can do a basic design, two letters and a heart or a plus, or four to five letters. We can do more than this, but the diameter of the log needs to be bigger, so the minimum order needs to be larger too.
- How should I store your candy?
Candy hates humidity, or moisture of any kind. We use zipper bags. Close your bags after you've enjoyed your candy and you should get at least a week out of your bag once you've opened it (and possibly a lot more depending on how humid it is). Never refrigerate our candy, if you do, water will condense on it when removed from the refrigerator and might make it sticky. Room temperature is perfect, hot cars are not.
- I can't find my favorite flavor on your site. It was here a while ago. Where is it?
We rotate flavors and designs from time to time. Some things are seasonal. Contact us if you want something we don't have on-line.
- I am allergic to nuts, do you use nuts?
Yes. We make candy with almond oil in it. We also use coconut oil to protect our equipment from rusting. Our candy store is in a toy store with a soda fountain. The soda fountain and ice cream areas which are adjacent to the candy making area uses nuts for ice cream production and toppings. The equipment has also been used for over 100 years, and we have no idea what they used on them before they came into our possession.
- Are you candies Vegan?
Yes. None of our flavors, or colors contain any animal products. Our honey flavor contains honey.
- Are your candies gluten free?
Yes they are.
- Do you make sugar free candies?
Around Christmas we try to make a batch or two of sugar free candy canes and candies. Watch for them.

PLEASE READ: We have been received a truly humbling amount of orders this season.
We are still back logged on shipping. Actual shipping time depends on what has been ordered, although we are trying to ship in the order received. Some items are harder to make than others. In December we started a new batch of apprentices, and they are up to doing the simpler items, so we are getting out orders that we can ship complete. We are over the "hump" of orders so we hope to catch up soon. I hope to have more updates as soon as we can.
Thank you again for enjoying what we do as much as we do. You make it possible for us to do what we love. Thank you from all of us here at Lofty Pursuits.
